Concert Information

The students have been working hard to learn the words, actions and how to move on the stage.
Notes about the Concert went home last Thursday. This is the important information:

Concert starts at 6:30 and aims to be finished around 8pm.
Students need to meet in their costume at the classroom by 6:15pm.

For new families, this is a big event! Seating is first come, first served. You are able to set up your own seating from 2pm on the courts facing east (the big tree). Any chairs placed before this time will be removed.

During the concert students stay with their teacher and their class for the performance. As this is a school event celebrating the year it is encouraged that families stay for the duration of the concert. You never know, there may be a surprise act at the end!

At the end of the concert our pick up spot is in front of the stage. Your child will need to be signed off the list.

Costume
Students come to the concert dressed in their costume. Please speak to me if you do not have a costume yet.

Week 7 Reminders

Tuesday (28th of November) I will be out of the classroom completing some final testing of students.

Library
All library books are to be returned to the library by this Friday as a stocktake in the library will commence next week.

Readers
This Wednesday take home readers will be swapped for the last time this year. Could you please have a look for any readers that may be hiding in your home. All readers must be returned to the classroom by this Friday as next week readers will be sorted into their correct boxes for stocktake. We are looking for any parent volunteers to help us sort the readers. If you would like to help one morning next week please let me know. We would be very grateful.

Big Night In
We are looking forward to this exciting event for our students on Friday. If you haven’t paid or returned the permission slip could you please do so by tomorrow. If your child is not attending could you please send me an email.

Casual’s Day
This Friday is also casual day. Students can choose to dress as an animal or wear blue and white clothes in support of the RSPCA. We request because the students will also be staying at school for the Big Night In that they wear clothes they can be active in and not too wear face paint.

End of Year Concert
The end of year concert is fast approaching and is the evening of Thursday 7th December, that is next week! The children are practising enthusiastically and are looking forward to performing. They will need a costume on the night that suits our class’ Beatles group theme. If you are having trouble finding a costume for your child could you please email me. Costumes don’t need to be sent to school. They are just worn on the night. Please refer to information sent home in blue bags previously.

Student Data Forms
An envelope with a pink note went home to every child on Friday. Please ensure any changes are made and it is returned promptly back to me.

Reminders

Please ensure you have returned your big night in note by Monday 27th of November with Payment please. We will be announcing it to the children next week too.

Concert Costumes
The concert costumes are not required to be brought into school. Students will wear their costume to the concert on the Thursday evening. Please let me know if you are having any issues finding something.

Morning Routine
Please ensure you are entering each morning through our room 03 outside door. This is due to the larger amount of students we have in the Doolette building while Reade Building is being upgraded. This will be for the remainder of the year.

This Friday we will also be having another Kindy transition morning in our classroom. Please ensure your child is at school on time ready to go at 8:50am!

Lastly, I will be attending my final Maths Project meeting tomorrow afternoon. Sue Speechley will have the class from 12pm till the end of the day.

Week 5 Information + 2 notes home today

Please help us during the building works in the Reade Building.

Next Monday any access to our classroom in the mornings will occur from the side door next to the junior primary playground. This is due to extra classrooms being created in the Doolette building corridor while renovations occur in the Reade building.

Thank you for understanding.

Big Night In: Sshhhhhh

This afternoon an envelope was placed in your child’s blue bag with information about the Reception’s Big Night In to celebrate the end of year. Please refer to the note in the envelope for extra information.

Keep this night a secret! We will tell the children closer to the date.

End Of Year Concert

Our end of year concert is fast approaching! It will be held in the evening on Thursday 7th of December (Week 8) under the big tree at CLG. The children will be dancing and singing to 2 classic Beatles songs. The best part about the school concert is dressing up! We are asking the students to come dressed as the Beatles, a 60’s Beatles fan or 60’s hippy style outfit. In the envelope sent home today there is some ideas about costumes. Please do not go out and buy anything. Have a look to see what you can find at home.
