The students started week 8 with a range of Christmas activities. It was great to see so many active thinkers in the room, following procedures to create their own decorations as well as adapting others to suit them.

A special thanks to Neralie and Kathryn who weren’t afraid of a bit of mess and organized chaos!

This week a note went home about our end of year celebrations.

Room 11 and 12 will be combining to have a lazy day/ sleep over theme day on Thursday 10th of December (Week 9). Students will be able to wear their pyjamas to school, play board games, have a pizza lunch, ice block and watch a movie.

We are asking that each student pays $5 to cover the cost of the pizza and ice block. This needs to be paid by Monday 7th of December.

Christmas Craft Activities: During the final 2 weeks of school, the students will be involved in Christmas craft activities. Could they please bring along 2 pieces of tinsel approximately 1m in length. In addition, we are looking for donations of magazines.

Books to be sent home: During the final 2 weeks of school, books will be collated and sent home. To help organize their belongings, could you please send along 2 named plastic bags.

It was great to have the Adelaide 36er’s come and visit our school on Tuesday afternoon.

The students worked hard to create some fantastic posters to cheer them on. They were lucky enough to get them signed at the end of the game!

There will be no library borrowing in the last 3 weeks on term. Please have a hunt around the house and return all books promptly.

If you are unsure if you have any outstanding books, please email me or head into the library to scan your child’s barcode and see.

 

The 2015 end of year concert is on  Thursday 3rd December (Week8).

Room 12 and 13 have been rehearsing our song together.

Our costume theme for the concert is bright colours.  Have a look at a few examples below.

After the concert our class will be released from behind the stage. Please see me so I can tick your child’s name off so I know everyone has gone home safe.

  

 

Just a reminder that this Friday 13th of November is Casual’s Day.

We are raising money for the Quoll’s, so the theme is spots.

Don’t forget your gold coin donation!
